The agency cited research by a working group run by Ukraine’s presidential chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, and former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul.
The Kiev School of Economics, which participated in the study, said nearly 2,800 foreign components were found in Russian military equipment, including the Kinzhal hypersonic missile that Moscow used to strike Ukraine.

In recent times, Ukraine has repeatedly called on allies to tighten sanctions against Russia and narrow export control loopholes, saying that Moscow can still import military goods for the war.
`Products of more than 250 Western companies were found in destroyed or seized Russian weapons samples,` the report said.
Russia has not commented on the information provided by Ukraine.
In October 2022, the US gathered international officials in Washington to find ways to strengthen sanctions on the Russian economy.
The reason is that these measures prevent countries from sending microchips, computer processors and other components needed for precision-guided weapons, as well as parts for diesel engines, helicopters, and jets.
But Russia quickly adapted through moves to ensure the supply of necessary components.
Last year, the New York Times quoted sources as saying that Russia appeared to have bypassed US export controls by using intelligence agencies and the Department of Defense to operate a network specializing in secretly transporting illegal drugs.
US officials admit that it is possible to slow down, but it is difficult to prevent Russia from purchasing the necessary parts for weapons production.
In less than a year since the beginning of the conflict, Russia is said to have rebuilt trade routes for essential components by moving them through countries such as Armenia and Türkiye.
US and European regulators are trying to coordinate to limit chip exports to Russia, but are having difficulty preventing that flow through countries with relations with Moscow.
