6. Gaara
Gaara is the current Kazekage of Sunagakure and Naruto’s close friend.
With the power of being the Jinchuuriki of the tailed beast Shukaku along with the ability to control sand at will as well as having an absolute defense layer made of sand, Gaara is a terrifying opponent for anyone.
Luckily, after meeting and fighting Uzumaki Naruto, Gaara realized what it means to be friends and since then he gradually changed his personality and thoughts, no longer a bloodthirsty monster.
5. Orochimaru
Orochimaru used to be a villain that everyone hated in the Naruto series.
It wasn’t until he was resurrected by Sasuke Uchiha after being permanently sealed by Itachi Uchiha that he changed.
Currently in the Boruto series, Orochimaru is being closely monitored for all his actions and it seems that he is not doing any harm anymore.
4. Nagato Uzumaki
After the death of Yahiko – one of the two friends who founded Akatsuki with Pain (Nagato), Pain was convinced by Tobi that finding true peace was impossible and was swept away by his Moon Eye plan.
In this battle, Konoha village was almost completely destroyed, countless ninja died.
This final act of Nagato transformed him from a villain into a hero.
3. Itachi Uchiha
Itachi was originally a member of the famous Uchiha clan, older brother of Uchiha Sasuke.
However, in order to prevent the family’s uprising, under Danzo’s orders, Itachi was forced to `exterminate himself` for the great cause, so he had to endure many scandals, becoming an ancient sinner with a bad reputation.
But later when the truth of the entire story was revealed, Itachi was in fact a hero of Konoha, having sacrificed his own happiness to prevent the civil war that threatened to break out in Konoha.
Itachi Uchiha is the reason Sasuke Uchiha tries to train himself and wants to become stronger so he can take revenge on his brother.
2. Obito Uchiha
Obito Uchiha was a genin who was believed to have died in the war.
It wasn’t until Obito realized that Madara Uchiha was using him as a pawn and Naruto changed his outlook on life that Obito returned to help the ninja alliance.
By the time he left, Obito died as a hero, not as a villain.
1. Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke Uchiha committed many crimes when he fled Konoha to follow Orochimaru.
It was not until he learned the whole truth about his brother Itachi that Sasuke decided to help the ninja alliance end the fourth great ninja war by sealing Kaguya along with Uzumaki Naruto.
Currently, Sasuke is also considered the second Hokage of Konoha next to Naruto.
